As a full-spectrum doula, I guide and support you as you transition through all different areas of reproductive health.

From the moment you contact me, I will be there for you, providing you with evidence based information if necessary, so that you can make informed choices. When you have made those choices, I will support you and your choices, no matter what.

I meet you where you are at and hold your hand throughout until you are ready to let go.

Hi there!
I’m Lorraine, Doula, Childbirth & Breastfeeding Educator, Trauma Resolution Practitioner, mother to two tiny humans, and wife to Berto. Woah!! That is a mouthful!
Along with being a birth nerd, I also love travelling, meeting new people, and learning about different countries and cultures. I’ve just recently gotten back into horse riding too; a hobby I always loved. There is just something so healing about being on horse-back.

As a single mum to be, I chose Lorraine as my birth doula both for general reassurance in the final weeks of pregnancy and also (mainly) to help me advocate for myself during labour. When she was on call for me, it was great to know that support was available and I always felt Lorraine was very focused on my needs and on helping me achieve the birth that I hoped for. When the time came she helped me labour without pain relief for several hours and communicated my birth plan to the midwives when I wasn't in much of a position for conversation! Equally, Lorraine herself never needed me to communicate but instinctively offered help with positions and comfort measures without me needing to say anything. Her support also extended beyond the birth as she thoughtfully checked in to see how I was getting on with the new arrival. I would certainly recommend Lorraine to anyone, particularly those looking for more personalised support, as I found her to be flexible, receptive and perceptive when it came to my individual needs.

Lorraine is someone you know you can trust and a great listener. I am so glad I did the three step rewind with her. I feel much calmer and less overwhelmed about the upcoming birth. I am now able to speak about what happened without getting upset or angry. This is such a change! I really recommend to anyone who still has strong feelings around a birth experience to do this rewind, no matter how long ago it was. Lorraine was very kind, with great follow-up too.

I just completed a four week Exploring Birth workshop with Lorraine. It is an amazing course for a first time parent to be. I now feel informed and know all aspects of what to expect for the birth of my baby and the post partum. She has made my pregnancy more enjoyable and has made me look forward to the arrival of my baby, however it may happen! If you want to create a positive mindset for your babies birth I would highly recommend this course.

We highly recommend Lorraine at Globebaby Doula. Her workshops are informative , extensive and prepare you for all aspects of childbirth and postpartum. Lorraine totally changed my view and feelings on how labour would be . Before working with Lorraine I was nervous , anxious and apprehensive and by the end of her workshops I was excited about the labour !!

We also did Lorraine’s breastfeeding workshop which too was totally worth it . She taught us so much . We were prepared for the highs and lows and everything in between . We both definitely feel Lorraine’s workshop was a huge factor in being successful in breast feeding our baby.

As well as giving brilliant workshops Lorraine is so supportive before during and after birth . She took the time to check in on me several times including postpartum. This was just amazing at the time - to be able to ask a professional the questions I needed to ask and get answers I trusted .

We spent so much money buying things in preparation for our new arrival but the workshops were the best investment we made .

“My partner and I did a private vbac workshop with Lorraine and we can’t recommend her highly enough. The workshop itself was very informative, full of evidence based research and lots of practical tips. It covered all eventualities so that you feel prepared no matter what the outcome. Lorraine was so accommodating and tailored the workshop to suit our needs. We were unsure about how it would work doing a virtual workshop but Lorraine’s friendly and warm nature immediately put us at ease. She is very passionate about what she does and I found she really helped us to get into a positive and confident frame of mind. Lorraine is genuinely invested in her clients and their experiences. She is incredibly compassionate and caring and has been a fantastic support to us, going above and beyond what we expected. The support I received from Lorraine, during pregnancy and during the postpartum period, was utterly priceless. She is one of the most caring and compassionate people I’ve ever met and her help, particularly in the early newborn days was immeasurable. She was always ready to listen to me without judgement and no worry I brought to her was ever too big or too small. She was always ready to encourage me and empower me, to trouble shoot ideas with me and to offer great, practical advice. She helped me get through some difficulties with establishing breastfeeding and there were many moments I’d have given up had it not been for her amazing support - something I’ll always be thankful to her for. I’d have been very lost without her as my doula and will always be grateful for the care I received from Lorraine.

Lorraine has been a real source of comfort and knowledge to me as I’ve ventured into the unknown that is motherhood. She is full of wise words when it comes to all things parenting and breastfeeding related. Most importantly she is open and honest about her own experiences. She’s real and never makes you feel like anything less than the queen that you are. This lady has a heart of gold and will stop at nothing to help a mother out.

Life is tough at times but knowing that there’s someone like Lorraine in your corner makes the sun shine even on the dullest of days.

Not only am I lucky enough to know Lorraine as a Doula, I also know her as a friend. Throughout my 4th pregnancy, even though she was in Kuwait, she was only ever a message or phone call away. She has a gift of reassuring you and making you feel a sense of calm even if you were freaking out 2 minutes before! Unfortunately I wont get to use her services again but I will be recommending her to everyone that will listen.

Lorraine is worth her weight in gold with the support she offered me both during and after my pregnancy. I will be forever grateful to her. She was always there with a sympathetic ear when I was struggling and came back with such supportive words and factually sound advice so I was informed on all aspects of what I needed to know. I was pregnant on my third child, suffering horribly with pelvic girdle pain, had a very tough previous pregnancy that ended in an emergency section. I was desperate for a drug free vbac this time and Lorraine had my back in every way she possibly could. She definitely helped me believe that I could achieve it in a fearless and empowering way and I did! My baby is 3 months old now and Lorraine is just simply amazing, I would have and would be lost without her.
